Pretty much always like this when the Packers and Brewers are playing at the same time.

I’ve gotten pretty good at multitasking overlapping Brewers and Packers games. I record both on the DVR and go back and forth. I’m usually a little behind on one or both games, but with judicious use of fast forward I can follow both without spending too much time. Lord knows there is a lot of dead time in both sports.

We don't know that they will even have Woodruff in a traditional starting role in the playoffs. They may be setting him up to be a 40 pitch 2-3 inning guy like last year's playoffs.

Yeah, I don't see Woody throwing more than 3 in a WC anyway. Probably go Woody, Suter, Hader (3, 3, 3) in an ideal scenario, or else maybe Gio or Jackson or Pomeranz get an inning or so just to limit exposure for Suter.

He is being used essentially as he will be used. With maybe precaution just so he can actually be used to the fullest extent possible within that limited range.

I think Gio for 2-3 today, then get our stud pen arms some work, it’s been a while for some of them, plus off day tomorrow, don’t want rust.

I hope the plan is NOT to give Hader 3 innings.

That isn't what he typically does, if that was their plan, I'd hope they build him up to that rather than just toss him into that role.

Didn't he struggle in that 3 inning role earlier in the season? You know, when he was their only real relief option, before things got figured out in the bull pen?

I have to check out the robot umpires in the AZ fall league. I sure hope it’s successful. Too many human errors

He rarely has done it. Only once this year and it was technically 2 2/3 scoreless. He did it numerous times last year (5ish) and gave up runs in just one. That being said those were nearly all less than 3 innings too. Only one was actually 9 outs.

You're right. A better way to say it: I think Hader can go 3 if needed and well-rested. But, yeah. 2 is better if it works that way. I wouldn't hesitate to bring him in in the 7th if the leverage is high enough, though. Maybe that means someone else gets all or part of the 9th.

Strong outing from Williams. Hope the pitching staff can keep doing its thing here. Two runs isn't enough for me...

This team is unreal right now. Might be an historic day for the bullpen as well if this keeps up

Yeah, but Arcia doesn't care.

Gio kept grimacing. Knew the game wouldn’t remain perfect as a result of that.

Also, Arcia should have had that. I’d question if it should be an error instead of a hit.

Now that catch by Arcia is one of those no-hit saving catches. Too bad it wasn’t that scenario today.
