Mets losing ... Cubs losing. Brewers are pretty dang close to have a spot secured now. Now we just gotta hope for an unlikely Cardinals slide.

Magic number is 2. Closing in on one the way the Cubs are going. If only we could get some help from the Phils or Dbacks.

If the Pirates hold on it is down to 1 which given the schedule looks like the Brewers will wrap up the 2nd WC spot against the Reds. I don't think the division is in play or WC1.

Hader not sharp again. Need him to figure it out as we push forward.

Yikes. Tough crowd. In his last 7 appearances he has 14 Ks, 3 hits and 1 walk in 7 innings.

How is WC1 not in play?

Why not wc1?? Nats got to play Indians next. Not easy. They need to win.

They're in play. You may not think they get there but they are in play.

Brewers getting no help at all from the DBacks. Fowler hit a leadoff HR to give the Cards an early lead.

If you honestly think WC1 isn't in play you just haven't watched enough baseball. A 1 game lead with 5 games to go isn't safe even if for some reason we were talking a 1 game lead by the Astros over the Orioles, much less the Nats over the Brewers. If you are just being defeatist carry on.

Run differential is back to zero!

Beat me to it. Think I read somewhere else this is the first year in franchise history the Brewers were never under .500.

Numbers don’t always match up with what’s going on. He’s given up inherited runs and hasn’t looked sharp.

I guess I will take my chances that a guy striking out that many guys and allowing that many base runners is going to be pretty darn effective - and 11 straight saves is pretty darn effective

Cleveland has been almost as hot as the Brewers this month. Washington will have a tough task.

Every other playoff team with their shiny run differentials all over +100. Why work harder than you have to?

I don't believe the Brewers will win out. They have at least one loss left maybe two. I just don't see the Brewers making up that 1 game difference.

Hader hasn’t allowed an inherited runner to score in September, so this is not accurate.

Well, it just happened in his last appearance sooooo... yeah.
