This is ridiculous. When the tying run scored in the bottom of the 9th I was hoping CC would IBB the next two guys and let em hit the showers/bus/airport. Or there would be a mysterious passed ball.

Just stupid.

This is just stupid. And they had every chance to avoid it last inning. Just score a damn run with the bases loaded and nobody out.

it's too bad you weren't in the dugout to tell them that. i doubt it crossed their minds.

It's too bad you aren't in the dugout to keep them entertained in extras with your sarcasm and sharp wit.

Faria warming up. That should do it. Should.

Faria has given up 11 earned runs in his last 6.2 innings pitched.

I know it'd look really bad, but would it be the worst thing to just intentionally walk 5 batters in a row and get out of here?

It would look bad for the Rockies to have 4 men on base with no runs in.

It's been a long season...

Thanks, Faria. Also, if you don't come back, none of us would mind.

Playing against 2 teams with nothing to play for the brewers and Cardinals combined to go 1-5 on the final weekend with the divison title on the line.

Some combo of Woodruff/Lyles/Suter/Pomeranz/Guerra/Hader will get it done vs. Scherzer on Tuesday. Forget about this series, we're in the playoffs, LET'S GO CREW!

This team is so bad at so many fundamental things like baserunning it is indeed a miracle they are still playing. Won't last long playing like this but a major accomplishment all the same.

4 for 25 with risp on the weekend.
That is one season long issue that never improved.
Finished 31 out of 32 at .239

Our sling box stopped working so we didn't see the last several innings. How many starters were in the game after the 6th?

Not many. Grandal, Moustakas, and Thames were out. The bigger issue is that the Brewers used only pitchers who will not be on the playoff roster and even then Williams would have escaped the ninth if Austin playing first hadn’t butchered an easy line drive that put the tying run on second base with one out.

After the Cardinals went ahead 8-0 in the third inning the Brewers game became as significant as a spring training game and the Brewers played it like one.

The Nats have to just be loving this.

What, watching guys pitch who won't be on the postseason roster? Because that's exactly what happened. Brewers treated 162 like a Spring Training game, and got a Spring Training result.
