I was looking forward to seeing two decisive Game 5’s today.

Now after a half inning I’m looking forward to just one.

All I care about is no STL. Then a big gap, then prefer not NYY. After that I'm ok with everyone with Rays being my #1 choice. Watching last night and listening to the announcers try to guess on the pitching strategies when they're so unfamiliar with this strategy was funny.

Well, the Cardinals are up 9-0 in the 1st, so I imagine they'll be moving on.

I don't like the Braves, so I'm ok seeing them gone. Will just be cheering all that much harder for the Nats/Dodgers in the NLCS.

Ok so a 9 run first inning for the Cardinals isn't exactly ideal...

honestly, the Braves are like the Cardinals Lite so I wasn't rooting for them either.

Can you imagine going to a decisive game 5, being all revved up, and having the game be over before your team comes to bat? I’m not sure I would be able to stay and watch the rest.

It's almost to the point where the Cards have to think about not pitching Flaherty more than an inning or two.

Cards made defensive changes going into the bottom of the 1st.

Carpenter taken out. Bader put into CF, shifting Fowler & Edman..

That's smart. Preventing runs is more important than scoring them at this point.

Yea I thought the same thing. He's warmed up and all so might as well pitch 1-2 but if you pull him then he could probably go in game 2.

I’m impressed they scored 10 runs in the 1st inning without a single home run. That seems difficult to do?

5 hits to score 10 runs. That is tough to do, especially with no home runs.

Okay I know we got eliminated in pretty bad fashion, but I think I will take that over a Game 5 total beat down where a positional player is likely to pitch.

We may have blown our game, but we aren't going down on the negative side of the record books.

I don't think the Brewers have scored ten straight runs without the benefit of a home run all season.

This is so typical. Typical October Braves. Typical October Cardinals. This is exactly why I picked the Cards to win this series. And guess what, they're winning the World Series too. I'm calling it. I don't see how they don't. This is what they do. I'm going to be sick.

I may get kicked off of this site as I was removed from many after the cardinals last “title”. Same slightly above average type of cardinals team that teams like the braves, brewers, etc lay down and let them win it... makes me wonder why the hell that hasn’t happened for us.
