Remember when guys would hit balls into the gaps?? Launch Angle seems to have killed doubles.

I’m 38. My friends and I talk about this all the time. The game has gone 3TO and its not enjoyable.

Leo Durocher was right ... “Nice guys finish last” (Lindblom, Sogard ... who else goes on this list)

So Gyorko has an OPS over 900 and he can’t get a shot to start against righties. Just makes no sense at all that Counsell goes straight platoon with Sogard and Peterson starting against every righty.

You know he’s not on the active roster right???

I forgot but he wasn’t getting any starts against them prior to today.

Gyorko literally was in the starting lineup against a righty 24 hours ago.

Formerly Joey Meyer Bombs

Not that it matters much , but I can't wait for the day they have the electronic strike zone .

If Corey Ray can't play with these guys what exactly is his profile?? Jeez. Top 5 pick that flames out is devastating setback.

How bad can Corey Ray be? They play Hiura every night and at his pace he’ll give Mark Reynolds and Adam Dunn a run for their money.

Ray must have not only horrible swing and miss tendencies but other holes in his game too

Hiura excelled in the minors at every stop and was very good last season at the major league level.....Ray has no such history to look back on. His best minor league season was 800 ops......last season 654.

Doesn’t matter, at this pace Hiura will strike out 213 times over his first 162 games. Thats Chris Carter, Mark Reynolds territory. For a guy who doesn’t play defense, if he continues to strike out that much he’ll be gone when he becomes arbitration eligible.

If they’re going to play a guy who strikes out in half his at bats and is a liability defensively, there is nothing to lose by playing Ray over replacement level players like Jace Peterson

How many games into a season do you need to be before WAR becomes a viable stat?

His defense has been ok since that one bad stretch......why don’t we let his career play out before we give up on him after a 880 ops rookie year?

As bad as he’s been he is still at 730 this season.......

Those who have video will have to let the rest of us know how Bickford looks. Wish I could see it.

Good lord, when they came back from commercial I thought Hader was throwing right handed.

He looks like Hader, throws a little like Yardley, and just destroyed Jones hand.

You don't always see much right when a guy gets hit, but that hand looked bad.

I thought for sure this post was clancy.

Hope he’s alright, he’s been absent or quiet lately.
