Is it just me? Or should a guy with a 6.31 ERA not be starting games in September?

I mean, September is oddly both September and technically May this year, so I wouldn't put a ton of importance on the date as of yet.

1 it’s not a normal September......he only has a handful of starts
2 we don’t have any other good options

I'd rather see Peralta put up 6.31 ERA then watch Lindbloom. The Lindbloom experiment can end any time now.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

As if the hitting wasn't bad enough.

"You're not going to have him when you want him and you're going to run out of games. He can't pitch 90 games. It's just not going to work. If anyone thinks it's going to work, show me how."- Craig Counsell on Josh Hader.

I vaguely recall him getting really unlucky in a couple innings in his earlier starts. Where he generally looked fine and then some bad luck things happened to mess up his line. In this small of a sample that will wreck your era. But stil, yea agree with overall not much to be impressed with either

1. English is hard. I didn't say, A guy with a 6.31 ERA in September should not be starting. I literally meant, should a guy with a 6.31 ERA be starting games IN September?
2. This is the problem.

Sadly, he doesn’t throw any of them well enough to get MLB batters out

He would struggle in Double-A Biloxi

At least one of the three years is a short season ... hopefully, management will cut their losses & release him in the off-season

Is it possible to trade him back to the KBL for a bag of balls?

Worth noting they're tied with Derek Johnson's Reds with that distinction....

You know what helps a bad offense? Making outs on the bases.

A brief reminder that Mr. Fulmer started today with an era over 8.00.

Supak can’t be worse. Not sure how the service time would factor in right now.

Just unbelievable how lost Yelich can look at the plate. Fulmer thanking his lucky stars that the brewers came up in his slot in the rotation.

I prefer Levering to Lepay ... but I miss BA anytime he is off calling NBA games

He is a step above Lepay, but a very small step...As long as he doesn't start saying "payoff pitch" I can live with him...

Serious question...Has one Stearns move panned out from last off-season?

Smoak making last year of Travis Shaw look like Rod Carew. I heard Thames was available at the deadline. Would have loved to get him back. He hasn't been great but maybe a burst of energy in the clubhouse to see him back.
