I thought he was one of the fastest guys in the majors. Ok maybe not fastest, but slightly slower than elite.

Is he? I honestly don't know. He sure doesn't look like it.

He is in the 78th percentile for sprint speed among hitters this season which is slower than he’s been in the past, but still much faster than the majority of the Brewers’ squad.

Lester also has no pickoff move whatsoever, so anyone can get a big lead on him.

Nottingham seems to be framing very well tonight. Impressed.

Tied with Yelich on the site I just looked at. I remember in spring they talked about him being one of the fastest OF in the majors.

I’ll say it, Hiura needs a lot of polish to his game to be more than mediocre

Garcia steals that base if he slides head first. Sprint speed doesn’t mean a whole lot on a base steal and sliding feet first painfully slows you down.

I'm ready for a bit of nerd power. Hiura needs some bench.

Here is a race between Garcia, Cain, Gyorko, and Piña using 2019 sprint speed if you’re interested...

Brewers Sprint Speed Race

Edit: For some reason Pina and Gyorko aren’t showing up now so I changed it to Braun and Arcia instead.

Woodruff has been pitching really well tonight...it’s just a terrible decision to not take the easy out #2. Considering it was Hiura, a horrid fielder, making the play makes it all the worse. He should always be taking the easiest out.

Great outing from Woody. Can the offense convert a single opportunity?
