Jace Baez! Gross, did I just say that?

It doesn't make up for his error or the fact that he can't hit.

Major League Baseball has suspended Cardinals manager Mike Shildt one game as a result of his actions during Tuesday's benches-clearing incident versus the Brewers.

Yadier Molina committed catcher's interference in the fifth inning when Ryan Braun's swing caught his left wrist. While Shildt was out checking on him, he heard something from the Brewers' dugout that he didn't like and tempers briefly flared, although things quickly calmed down. Shildt will serve the suspension in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader.

So the Dodgers are probably going to play the second place team in the playoffs. That should be a quick and easy win for the Dodgers.

We have one hit since the first inning. The bats have shockingly gone dead again.

Brewers have to be among the worst in baseball at spoiling pitches.

I try not to complain about every little move I don’t agree with, but the Jace Peterson thing is just completely perplexing to me.

DeJong has no range at all. That looked Yuniesque.

When the Brewers got the two runs in the first I was hoping that (1) Woodruff would have a strong performance against a team that has had trouble scoring and/or (2) the Brewers would add on a few runs.

Doesn’t look like either of those is happening.

I like Woodruff but he really isn't an ace.

Vogelbach strapped into a lawn chair would have had as much range as Yuni.

He really seems to struggle at times in key spots of games. Gives up a lot of runs(it seems) at the worst possible times. True aces get out of those situations more often then not.

I suspect that if the Brewers are going to score again to get back in this game, Braun will be involved.

I'm honestly impressed we got 2 off of Wainwright. That's 2 more than I thought we would get.

Barring a 7th inning comeback tonight’s game is going to be pretty critical to find a way. I know Suter is starting, but I’d be awfully tempted to start the game with your top relievers and work backwards from there. (Yes I know they would never actually do that)

Hiura can’t make a 30 foot throw, but his defense is supposedly much improved.

I’d love to know what goes through Gyorko’s head as Hiura sets up to throw at him on those.

Gyorko is livid that he has to continuously make tags on Hiura’s throws. Surprised he acted that way.
