Lauer picking up right where he left off. Might as well make him eat the rest of this game.

I know they have to put on the bright optimistic garbage but no, Craig, Lauer doesn't have a ton of upside. Even in the draft everyone was like this is a back-end starter that can get to the majors quickly.

Cards' fans wear jorts.

Talking up Lauer while Grisham is headed to the playoffs again is questionable.

I don’t think Lauer is quite as terrible as everyone is making him out to be here.

He's a first round pick! So awesome! We have so many years of control! Seconds later. He still has 3 options so the Brewers can send him down to the minors!

Cards' fans wear jorts.

He's been in Appleton the whole year so he can't be that good. I mean Feyerhysen has been up more than him.

Rock explaining that an option means you can send him up and down as many times as you want in a season and it's only one option, which every living person has been aware of for some time.

He's not this bad, but I don't really see the upside that others see, either. This isn't Josh Hader stuff.

Frankly I'd be okay if they flush the whole coaching staff other than council

Doesn't throw hard but at least he doesn't have control as well.

I’m not saying he’s Josh Hader (or ever will be) by any stretch, but I think he can been an okay backend starter or middle reliever. That isn’t exciting, but it also doesn’t deserve being called “garbage”.

Well we have seen him four times and he has been terrible three of them. I dunno. Padres gave him up and they know him better than anybody. They seem to know what they are doing in the front office.

Yeah Lauer can throw 100 pitches tonight. Its obviously early but I can't imagine a trade looking any worse than this one has so far.

Well....what he's showing tonight and has shown this year is the definition of garbage.

I hope he can get to the point where he's an okay backend starter or middle reliever, but at this point he doesn't even belong on an MLB roster much less fit either of those definitions.

I know you are trying to be positive but you also seem to like Urias and both of them have been terrible.

I don't want to see any of these ham and eggers that Stearns brought in here back next year. Not one. Gyorko's been good but I don't see him duplicating this next year. Rooting for this team is like nails on a chalkboard, and it's all Stearns's fault. I'm going to need psychotherapy on Monday when this nightmare finally comes to an end.

"You're not going to have him when you want him and you're going to run out of games. He can't pitch 90 games. It's just not going to work. If anyone thinks it's going to work, show me how."- Craig Counsell on Josh Hader.
