How about separate trades for Hader and Hiura that would get us a legit 1B and 3B:
Brewers trade Hiura, Mitchell, Small and Medina to Cleveland for Ramirez
Brewers trade Hader to the Mets for Dominic Smith and Thomas Szapucki
Then go sign Paxton or Taijuan Walker to a 2 year, $15 million deal (approx. equivalent to Hader's salary)

No way the Mets even consider a Hader for Smith trade, much less adding another player. The Mets' have been saying Smith will be in the OF if there is no DH. Davis for Hader may be a possibility, but his stock has been raising lately. Cleveland has been quite about trading Ramirez. There would be a huge backlash if they traded him unless somebody really overwhelmed them. I think your package would be about even, but not overwhelming.

Alright my final additions...

Still holding out hope for Turner but if we dont land him, I would love Asdrubal Cabrera at 3B.

And pitching side, add Rich Hill to rotation and possibly a vet like Clippard or Phelps type to bullpen.

Add those guys and definitely ready to battle with Cardinals.

I've been wanting David Phelps back for 2021 ever since we traded him. He's pretty decent and wouldn't cost too much.

While it isn’t the most attention grabbing pitching addition, adding Wong to the infield defense seems to make bringing Anderson back make even more sense.

Are there any projections out there for what Paxton is expected to receive?

MLBTR predicted 1/$10M, Fangraphs crowd source predicted 2/$30M. I think he's probably out of our price range given the risk he also carries.

Any chance we bring Brett Anderson back? Seems like with our improved infield defense a groundball heavy pitcher like him would be an ideal fit

I wouldn't mind Brett Anderson at all. As you say, with better defense his numbers should improve and he was decent enough as a back of the rotation guy already. I liked the bit of personality that came through in the quotes and interviews I saw.

I will predict the Brewers sign lefty Free Agent starter Tyler Anderson as their traditional "out of nowhere" offseason SP signing that ends up pitching like Miley/Lyles in 2021.

Brewers apparently looking at Shin Soo-Choo as a 1B

That is the most Brewers thing ever. Probably doesn't bode well for Vogelbach's chances of making the team, though.

There are a few players left on the free agent market who could likely be signed to relatively inexpensive short-term deals to fill holes for this team. Here are a few I like:

1. 3B-INF Marwin Gonzalez - I was interested in him last year, but he ended up going to the Twins. He did not have a good COVID season, but he checks off a lot of potential boxes for the Brewers, as he's a switch hitter with positional versatility. He is going into his age 32 season, so you hope for an offensive rebound. Im guessing he could be had on a one-year deal for roughly $4 million.

2. OF Josh Reddick - As a 4th OFer and pinch hitter, you want a guy that puts the ball in play, and doesn't strike out at a 30+% clip. Reddick is hopefully an upgrade on Ben Gamel that could likely be had for around the same money.

3. SP Jordan Zimmermann - Homer pick. But as a minor league deal flyer, why not bring him in and see if he's got anything left?

Well, Zim is one. Gonzalez and Reddick still make a lot of sense as depth guys.

Well Zimmermann isnt Rich Hill but I guess it's only a minor league deal so maybe we still add Hill.

I really want to find someone to be that #3 behind Woody and Burnes, make me feel much better about Houser, Lindblom/Lauer as our 4 and 5.

Please let this happen, that is also my name and I’ve always wanted to hear my name announced in the Brewers lineup haha.
