This year's festival launches tomorrow and they have a pretty terrific lineup. I'm particularly excited for Parasite. I think it's a tremendous community event.

Anyone else going?

Parasite is playing Milwaukee? That's great. Unfortunately I won't be making it up this year but they do a great job with that festival

What are some movies worth checking out? And can you give a brief summary of whatever you are recommending? Thanks!

What's been good so far:

THE PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC is, of course, a masterpiece.
GIVE ME LIBERTY is a fast paced, independent comedy - drama shot around Milwaukee.
LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT is one of the best looking movies of the year and has a gorgeous, hour long tracking shot as its climax.
FIRST LOVE by Takashi Miike is a gonzo, midnight movie blast.

I've heard great things about the killer dress movie IN FABRIC, for what it's worth.

I have coverage at http://wherethelongtailends.com/

I saw Greener Grass last night. It was a lot of fun, a weird and outlandish take on suburban culture with a lot of laughs.
