Everyone washes their hands (well they at least they know they should) after they go to the bathroom...yet no one ever washes their hands before eating. Seems most sicknesses comes from mouth/nose and enter mouth/nose. Should I not be washing my hands prior to shoving my germ filled hands in my face?

Is there a study on this? We should probably wash our hands for both...but if we were really going to only do it for one of the occasions I almost feel like it should be before eating. I always hear my toilet seat is cleaner than my kitchen counter.

Hey....that is what the studies say. Maybe they were testing the kitchen counter of a cat owner, then the kitchen counter is basically a toilet too.

All I am getting out of this is I should just stop washing my hands after going to the bathroom too. Let nature take its course.

Though I am not going to lie, sometimes I wonder if it is cleaner (in a public bathroom) to use a urinal, skip washing your hands, and kick the door on the way out. Especially true when you have to touch the faucet handles and paper towel dispenser. The worst is that dang door on the way out...all those people touching it when they don't wash their hands. I actually always use my foot on the way out or will push the door open using a non typical spot where no one really touches it.
