Audio interview with Ryan Aguilar. He played 1B last year with Arizona but has been an outfielder most of his baseball life. Models his game on Jacob Ellsbury.

LINK: The Brewers 25th round selection LHP Blake Lillis (and Riley Pint HS teammate) has made up his mind he will not be signing and is instead attending Arkansas.

Disappointing, but understandable in the fact that we used up all our extra cash.

My guess is that:

A) Is every last penny they had short of being penalized a pick; and,
B) They had a deal with Crow that fell through, and they were able to convince Lillis to sign for the same amount.

Do we have any official word on Crow?

No word on Crow, and I hope I'm wrong and they do sign both. They've already signed at least a half dozen more guys than I thought they would, so it's all cake at this point.

Well I have no idea what exactly happened regarding Blake Lillis, but I am ecstatic the report I linked turned out to be wrong! Here is the same publication standing by their original statement that he had told the Arkansas coaches he was coming to play college ball... Lillis changes mind, signs with Brewers.

The job this front office did signing these picks is truly remarkable. It is astonishing to have signed almost the entire class when the MLB draft signing rate I believe is usually south of 75%.

Just an FYI, there's no real information out there that we signed Brennan Price. Just that tweet from his mom but the Brewers have never confirmed it so we're sitting at 37 of the 41 signed.

Surprised Lillis decided not to go to college and try building his stock. Then again I have never been offered $125k and free college.

Mothers should be considered good sources, but it'd be nice to hear something from the team.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Yeah, you would think so. Situation is kinda weird as we haven't heard anything else concrete from either side.

Brennan Price will not sign.

Brewers obviously tight lipped about the reason. Sounds like he wanted to sign though.link
