Brett Phillips is good at Baseball

The David Stearns era: Controllable Young Talent. Watch the Jedi work his magic!

Thames is starting to see the ball better again.

Among qualifiers, Thames is third in the NL in average # of pitches seen per PA (4.27).

I'm going to pull a topper09er and ask if you can name the top two.

(Domingo Santana is 13th in the NL at 4.11)

Arcia and Perez?

I am not Shea Vucinich

On a more serious note...I'll go with Votto and Rizzo

I am not Shea Vucinich

Cubs up 5-2 now. Just can't get any help from anybody who has played them lately. Just need to hang around until our 4 game series and then take care of them ourselves.

Chuckie Carr and Yuni? I agree Votto is a good guess. Maybe Goldschmidt?

For as good as Arcia is defensively, he botches some of the easiest plays.

Inning was over but the Reds challenged and won and then got 5. Cards would have stolen 5 runs without replay.

That son of a gun Perez, who can play every position, is flirting with .270...

On MLB network they are showing Brewers highlights right now and they show Thames in LF and mention Walker at 1B.

Harold Reynolds: "Why mess around?"

"... trying to figure out the best lineup."

HR: "Is it?"

Pretty much agree with Harold.

I'll give him credit because he's played well of late and it's been much needed but his batting average isn't his issue.

“There's a fine line between being confident and cocky, or overconfident. This is an extremely humbling game. But if you don't believe in yourself, no one else is going to believe in you.”

None of Votto, Rizzo, or Goldschmidt are correct. Goldschmidt is fourth though.

Rizzo is 26th, Votto is 29th.

Only 18 players played in the entire game, I wonder the last time that actually happened?

To answer my own question, it was this game in 2006 (for a 9 inning game), more recently than I would have thought
