So...who are the Twitterati people in the know who might leak certain info? Like the thing about the Red Sox possibly taking McLain?

Carlos Collazo from Baseball America seemed to back off the McLain to the Red Sox rumors a bit, and now just said he won’t surprised to see McLain go earlier than expected. BA’s last mock was posted an hour ago and had Colton Cowser listed as the Brewers selection.

They had this to say about the Brewers:

Milwaukee is another team that’s difficult to figure out. Wicks could make sense if he’s on the board, as could Bachman or any of the Frelick/Cowser/McLain trio if they are still available.

The exciting thing about tonight is the Brewers are going to finish the evening with two very good prospects being added to their system.

Yeah, having 33 is pretty exciting, both for the pick itself and for the flexibility and additional bonus pool it gives them. Wouldn't surprise me to see some shenanigans.

Jim Callis sent this out via Twitter and said this is his final mock draft…

He added that there is a chance the Orioles will cut a deal with someone, possibly Cowser, at pick #5.

I personally hope we get a position player with a plus hit tool and power potential and hopefully its a third baseman. Colson Montgomery would be my preferred pick but I would be shocked if they pick a high school position player over a third tier college starting pitcher.

Just promise not to judge a HS pick until at least 2026 (see Clark, Trent... and Taylor, Tyrone)

Well it sounds like the first overall pick isn’t going to be the industry consensus, so you can throw out the mock drafts.

I would be really upset if the Brewers went off the board with the number one overall pick.

Binelas at 33 or in the second round is definitely a chance I would take.

Same here. Really hoping we can get him in the second round.

Goldstein saying Jobe to DET on the FG chat.

Red Sox snag Marcelo at #4?

That would be an amazing get for them. One of the best teams in baseball and because they had one bad [shortened] pandemic ball season they may end up with the most talented player in this year’s draft.

So much for the Brewers getting Colton Cowser, he’s going to the Orioles.
