So we are going to have to beat the cardinals twice this week

I wonder if Cubs fans feel safe with a 4 run lead in the eighth? I wouldn’t in their position.

Padres haven’t lost yet. They just put up 3 in the 8th, still only 2 out.

If I were a Cardinal fan I'd be feeling pretty cocky about playing the Brewers 6(?) times before the end of the season.
It almost seems like we're trying to coast to the finish line. But there's a bit of a hill before we get there. Keep pedaling!

Come on now. The Brewers would literally need to lose out for the Cards to catch them. This thing his wrapped up, just need to get everyone healthy and back in the lineup.

Yeah, I agree. I'm not nearly as confident in facing them in the NLCS than others. This is just historically what they do. Get super hot in September and ride it all the way to a World Series championship. As far as the division title, yeah we're going to win it, but I think it would be better served to get it over with ASAP than just waiting for it to happen.

Would have really liked to make the clinch imminent today.,..still time for that, I guess.

Brewers will have the favorable side of the pitching this week against STL. Would love to clinch against the Cards.

Sort of like how cocky Reds fans [and national pundits] were coming out of the All Star Break.

Just makes it a chance for the Brewers to really damage the Cards playoff hopes and spirits.

Yep, it’s going to be a fun week. Every middling team in the NL is going to be rooting for the Brewers over the next four days. Even a series split clinches the division and keeps the Cardinals from running away with the second Wild Card.

Agree. I’m really looking forward to this next series.

Sure would be nice to have a dramatic 9th inning win today, though.

Let us hope!
We definitely CAN take care of business, so let's DO it (he said as if he had any control over it).
