My kid has a little league game in a little while and I'm not sure if I'll see a worse play than that.

I am not saying this will get called, but it's nice to be in a position where we would just win if it does.

Oh that was very fun for my eyes to see. I hope this rain delay is either for good or until baseball practice is over so I can watch the rest.

gamecast. please explain.

Schwarber chased a popup about 150 ft, went right off his glove near the SS position.

Villar hit a popup that was literally 5 feet onto the outfield grass. Baez was nowhere near it for some reason so Schwaber came charging in and had it go off his glove. It bounced maybe 10 feet ahead to where the shortstop usually plays. Schwarber tried a backhanded flip to 2nd for the force out and threw it way wide allowing Thames and Villar to advance a base.

Pop up to shallow LF. SS went out, gave way to Schwarber, but wind kept blowing the ball in and Schwarber was at the infield break when he got to it and it bounced off of his glove. Then he tried to shovel it to 2B to get the force but threw it wide, runners advanced to 3rd & 2nd.

This game (and BA) raises an interesting rules question. We all know 5 innings makes an official game (or 4.5 if the home team is winning).

If a game is called in the middle of an inning, how do you call the game? There are a bunch of different possibilities:

- Away team led after the last full inning and now added runs - do you go back to the last half inning's score? Or are you committed to now finish that inning even if the home team hasn't batted? What if it's the bottom and they have 2 on and 2 out? Or even 0 on and 2 out?
- Away team takes the lead in the top half then the game gets delayed? Assume the game must go on at some point in the future?
- Home team has the lead and away team has 2 men on in the top half when the game is called? Or away team has 2 out and no one on, nothing going, can you just end the game officially mid half-inning with the losing team at bat? Or yet to bat?

I could go on and on, what I figured was a simple rule I know I now have 800 questions about

Plus, the Schwarber belly flop into the mud.

Essentially it reverts to before the top of the 6th, and we were up 4-3 then, so we would win .

Took video of the play because explaining it with just words doesn't do it justice.

Was listening to game on MLB at Bat and suddenly cut out! What's going on. MLB used to be best internet sport (except for stupid blackouts), now just cut out audio with no warning! Stinks.

Anyone hear of a time they are going to try to start up again?

Not at all would be sweet. I'll take a cheap 5 inning win, pen could use it. But based on what Trwi said that probably won't happen.

Oh well, there's still a part of me that would rather have 4 more innings of Brewer baseball anyway.

They just said on the radio that if the game is called all stats will count. So Eric's single and the double error cetera. They also said under these conditions that Paolo would be credited with the win and Rob would get a save. I would like to know rules on that one..
