Crucial to not only get the win but for Hawkins to look good, so RRR won't use Loe as his "8th inning guy".

Hopefully that's the spark casey needs to get it going. I don't think I would've pinch hit for gallardo there. Especially not with yuni.

Not only do they have Hawkins in there, but Braddock and Saito are getting ready/already ready in the pen.

Cool !!!

Is RR managing the game today? I'm pretty sure this is how a pen is supposed to be used.

That play is why Counsell is on this team - Betancourt would just wave at that one with his glove as it scooted into left field for a base hit.

Yep, sure looks like it.

Maybe he has learned from past mistakes.

It's a good sign at least.

And that's how you pitch the 8th inning.

Great inning for Troy. A couple Badger Mutual Insurance runs would be excellent.

Weeks is really struggling right now. Not swinging at strikes

Thrilled to have the lead, that Yo is eligible for the win, and that Hawkins pitched a clean 8th inning.

My only fear is that Casey's PH homer just bought him another month of starts.
(That fear being mitigated both by the inevitability that he was already going to be given another month's worth of starts....and by the hope that he can still salvage the 2nd half of his season.)

Ahh the tangled web of brewers hope. Thanks RR! Ha ha.

Not sure why Roenicke removed Hart and left Kotsay in to bring in Gomez there. It wasn't even a double switch.
