Yeah, a bunt wouldn't be terrible there, but with Braun up people would have flipped about it. Given his leg still isn't 100% I wouldn't have had a problem with the bunt, but I'm pretty sure I would be in teh minority.

Wow that was a horrible AB.

Wow, Prince looks lost at the plate right now. Not himself at all. Not even close.

So...

Did the Home Run Derby mess with Fielder's swing?

Your kidding right? Please tell me you don't think its a good idea for Ryan Braun to bunt in that or any other situation?

Gotta bunt here.
Not sure why this is blue, a bunt is a good play there

Pretty sure I would almost never have my 3 hitter lay a bunt down....down 2 runs.

I want to beat Tom Brokaw after that inning. Make those commercials stop.

I'm not sure I remember seeing Prince this bad. He is a wreck at the plate right now.

7th big league appearance, and his first career save situation right now. Nice start for him so far
Inexperienced players aren't capable of contributing to a pennant run, he should be DFA'd immediately.

It's his approach that's killing him more than his swing. He has no discipline whatsoever.

He homered the day after the derby.

The Home Run Derby ruining swings is a myth. It especially doesn't hurt a guy like Prince, who has a natural, upper cut home run swing, anyway. He's just not playing well right now. It happens.

I shouldn't need to point this out, but please remember our forum etiquette;

Don't: Use the thread to insult players or team staff. There are all kinds of bad decisions in baseball, but players and staff are not bad people. A bad pitch does not make Jeff Suppan an idiot; a misplayed grounder does not mean that Prince Fielder is garbage.

Far to much of that stuff going on tonight. Please curb your language and the insulting names. Thank you.

Yeah, wouldn't shock me to see Prince have a big series in SF. I really think playing in AZ is making him press.
