Please have a Kevin Mench like entry. That would be so sweet.

ugh, and we all know how well THAT turned out. Really, I'm not all that thrilled with the acquisition but it's a step upward from what we had.

AAA lineup, check.
Once promising pitcher now struggling on the mound for the opponent, check.
Yovani Gallardo throwing the ball well, check.
Guaranteed loss, check.

Alfonso Soriano just made Carlos Lee look like Carl Crawford with his effort on a Theriot double to the gap in the 7th inning.

WMLW means my-eyes-bleed. It's the functional equivalent of watching a game through the privacy glass in my shower door.

I'll keep complaining until I don't have to, or I'm dead, whichever comes first.

It looks worse than ever tonight. Looks zoomed in, stretched out and of course, grainy.

Good lord, is ESPN Gamecast's strike zone terrible (at least in the Beta version). It basically represents the center of the zone, not the whole thing.

EDIT: Correction. I actually have no idea what ESPN's strike zone is trying to approximate.

A 20-some pitch, 1-2-3 inning for Yo.

That shouldn't be frustrating, but, on some level, it is. Still, hopefully he can go deep into the game tonight. And be the recipient of much run support.

Here's to hoping he can flash enough glove and bat to enamored Roeneicke at SS!

I probably would prefer that RR gets excited about him at 3rd

For those frustrated with WMLW, Uecker is kind of punchy tonight.

It's entertaining.

Forget about "clearing the pitcher" with Yo!

I think Lopez is the one who is playing for the 3B job

Hopefully Hairston can come in and make an impression on Roenicke. I hate having higher expectations when the pitcher is at the plate (Gallardo anyways) than the starting shortstop.

Plush coming through, I love that guy. Anyone know if you can get the T Plush shirts without having to go to the ballpark?

I thought Morgan couldn't hit lefties - what happened there?

Must have been a fluke (blue)

Plush's eyes are totally different facing a LHP vs. a RHP. There's a different kind of focus in his face.

Sweet. An error on a double play ball.

Can we bury them now?

Need more than that from that inning. Maybe not against Houston, but in principle.

A pretty bad AB from Lopez. Not much better from McGehee, but at least he hit it hard.

Hate leaving runs on the table like that.
