Happ threw some brutally awful pitches there and no one made him pay for it. So annoying.

A pretty bad AB from Lopez. Not much better from McGehee, but at least he hit it hard.

Hate leaving runs on the table like that.

McGehee hit the snot out of that ball, I'd say it was a pretty good AB.

The two best players on the team went K, GIDP (boot). I'd put more on them than the new guy.

Maybe true. I thought he missed a couple of pitches, however. Strike one may have been up and out of the zone, and strike two looked like a bit of a hanger. Really thought he should have been able to do something there. Still, certainly a bit unlucky.

He did do something there. He hit the ball really hard and it was caught.

I thought I read somewhere that the Astros said Barmes was untouchable. Which of course doesn't make any sense, but then again, it's Ed Wade.

Ueck is on a roll tonight. It almost makes it worth being at work listening to it. Almost.

So does Ax have the night off? He's pitched in four straight IIRC.

In no way is this a knock against our pitching, but man, Houston's offense looks absolutely brutal.

Man. Tough night for Lopez so far. 2 K's with a runner on third and less than two outs.

Good work, Casey.

I can't even count the number of times this year we've seen runners thrown out at either 2nd or 3rd on cutoffs on throws to the plate. You teach little leaguers to never make the last out at 3rd base........why is that so hard for these guys to understand?
