Well, this one doesn't "hurt" me necessarily, but I am pretty disgusted, both at the Brewers' play and the Cardinals' act

Worst loss of the season. Absolutely dreadful. We could of and should of won. The Cards embarrassed themselves as organization and still get the win, unfreakingreal. I hope somebody takes a dump in La Russa's bed at the Pfhister or wherever they staying tonight. I hate the Cardinals, their players and their fans.

Hmm, yeah. That's an unfortunate spelling mistake.

And the game is won on a weak bloop hit by Berkman that followed Estrada letting Holliday walk down to second base. Man.

Or it was the Brewers defense in the 4th and them stranding the bases loaded in the 7th with no outs. Either way.

Defense still is clearly our biggest weakness and games like this being a prime example of that.

Where's the justice? Brewers untuckingem after a Braun walk off hit... is how it should've happened.

There's probably 8-10 worse losses this year. At least there weren't any managerial mistakes (that cost them) in this one and it was lack of execution from the players. That's going to happen from time to time, especially with this dreadful defense.

and if we don't make the playoffs, I think this will be the reason why. Every game they give their opponents 30 outs a game

we should have had this one. I thought it would have been devastating to the Cards to have Molina facing a suspension AND lose a back-and-forth game against the team they're chasing. Let's just go get them tomorrow

Not walking Berkman?

Idiot Mitch Williams on MLB Tonight defending Yadier. Saying it wasn't malicious. No bumps. Just some yelling. Acted as if nothing was wrong with it.

Yeah, good point.

I know, process over outcome and all that, but Estrada threw an out pitch that just happened to fall.

To me this is the worst loss of the season.

To be insulted by the Cardinals, to have them show complete lack of class, to continue their crusade to be baseball's biggest hypocrites, and to strand the bases loaded with nobody out and not be able to make them pay, yeah, that stings.

I have an extremely hard time believing that 20% of our losses have been worse.

There were a few. I didn't think the lineup was right to start the game. I missed the middle innings but reading through it is possible Marcum should have been pulled earlier. At the end there it came down to who was gonna suck less with guys on base.

Fan is short for fanatic.
I blame Wang.

Tomorrow is a new day.

They've got a shot to go out and polish off an 8-1 homestand. Even 7-2 to take over first by a game plus wouldn't be too bad.

Yes, I'm trying to cheer myself up, but it is still early August. Really long way to go. If every game is like this, I'm really not sure I'll make it.

If the situation arises, Pujols needs to take one in the ribs tomorrow.

A loss is a loss, but the thing that incenses me the most about this game is the fact that LaRussa stupidly gives us a free leadoff runner in retalation for something that was completely unintentional, stays in the game even though there was obvious intent, and then we load the bases and CAN'T MAKE THEM PAY. That was embarrassing.

It felt like watching a criminal up on the stand that you knew was guilty, but the prosecution did a poor job and he got off.

Yeah. Would've been a great win (going up 4.5, esp. after their antics today), but as a loss, it's not really devastating me like, say, the A-Ram bomb in '07 or the Giants' sweep that year or even Opening Day this year.
