Can I just say that I really can't for the life of me still believe that Corporan made it to the majors. I'm happy for the guy, but I don't think he ever posted an acceptable OPS at any level of baseball.

Bud Norris is a right handed pitcher. Jerry Haristson is a right handed batter.

Also, Jerry Hariston Jr. is a terrible hitter.

Not sure who Jerry Hariston is, but Jerry Hairston, the guy we traded for, is a better hitter than Lopez, Kotsay & Counsell

Based on what? He's below average, but to call him terrible is pretty unfair.

Don't forget Betancourt.

I blame Wang.

Hairston has a .335 OBP this season and a .714 OPS. Kotsay has a .297 OBP and a .614 OPS, which is unbelievably bad for a corner outfielder. Counsell's OBP this year is .244 (!). Lopez has a .555 OPS and a .254 OBP

This is an unbelievably horrible lineup Roenicke has put together today. Our pitcher, Zack Greinke has a better OPS than our RF, 2B & 3B and a better OBP than our RF, 2B, 3B & SS!!!!

Well DPR probably wanted to bring Greinke's run support average down a bit.

I blame Wang.

Honestly Lucroy should be batting 5th and Greinke should be batting 6th in this lineup

It's not as bad as the opening day lineup which included Nieves, Kotsay, Gomez, and Betancourt. But it's pretty bad. McGehee has been vastly superior against righties and Hairston is better than Lopez, Counsell, and Kotsay. Hart should be playing if physically capable. Prince and Braun might have to carry the offense, while Greinke pitches like an ace.

Part way into spring training... I envisioned an August lineup of Weeks, Hart, Braun, Fielder, McGehee, Lucroy, (replacement SS), Gomez.

I'm trying to decide what I would have said then if you would have told me on August 7th we were going to play a lineup of Plush, Lopez, Braun, Fielder, Kotsay, Yuni, Counsell, Lucroy.

Trust me, I'm not complaining about how this season has gone ... and I think it would help my pre-season self if I also added this same lineup was going to try to put us 15 games above .500 .. I'm just saying.

(secretly hoping this reverse jinxes these fellas into 13 hits and 7 runs today.

It's not the majors, it's the Astros. I believe he is the all-time OPS leader in Brewers history. Image

You think LaRussa would retaliate for that one?

Boy, you weren't kidding about the pick off move.

Hey, no bunts! No bunting! We need more than a run here and there from the middle of our order today. Can't give away baserunners in front of them.

Really Ron? Your best move with a 2-0 count and Braun and Fielder coming up is a sacrifice bunt? This lineup is too weak today to just give away outs.

It's a good thing Lopez bunted Morgan to 2nd so he could score on that home run.
