Man. I've seen a TON of good pitching by Detroit this series.

it's so quiet at Yankee Stadium, even with 2 out and A-Rod up. Wow.

I hope if this happens tomorrow that the crowd gives a nice ovation at the end of the game for a show of appreciation to the players.

I was thinking this as well. I'll be on my feet applauding the 2011 Brewers at the end of Friday's game, win or lose.

Also, let's give Principessa21 a moment here. She roots for the Yankees for the same kind of reasons we root for the Brewers. I'm intrigued by DET-TEX in the ALCS, and oddly pleased that the Brewers' season will last at least 18-20 hours longer than New York's, but I won't take joy in her sadness.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

The Yankees aren't going to loose their clean up hitter for the past 6 years simply because they can't afford him. We're about to witness the end of an era here in Milwaukee. Please excuse my lack of sympathy for the Yankees.

Thanks, Laura. She took it pretty well in stride, but was obviously bummed out. The Yanks had plenty of chances to score in that game. The playoffs seem to be all about hitting w/RISP. You do it, you win. You don't... you don't.

"The key is identifying the moment. The worst is when you try to do it halfway: when you think you can compete and you also think you're trying to rebuild. Then you're stuck in no-man's-land. You either do it or you don't." -- Billy Beane

It's definitely much easier to take with the Brewers in the playoffs.

What a throw by Molina to get Utley out.

I think Utley beat it. TBS didn't even throw an adaquate replay to know for sure. (No surprise, they've sucked at replays all postseason.)

I hate Molina so much.

Go Phillies.

Half an inning later, TBS shows a replay, Utley out by 3 inches. Great call ump.

Booooo Cardinals, get bent, go Phillies.

2011 Cardinals are the 2010-2011 Packers. Tons of talent, great leadership at the helm, decimated by injuries and hindered by bad breaks, forced to settle for the Uno card instead of winning division, forced to hit the road for the entire playoffs, super dangerous & poised to shock the world, team of destiny. I want them gone. I think the Phillies is a more winnable series, even without home field.

Cards are winning with defense! Hopefully they can get 3 more outs!

And if the Cardinals are the 2010 Packers, then it's a good thing we're not playing for a superbowl.
