One thing I like about the STL lineup for the Brewers is that there are a bunch of righties in a row, particularly around Pujols. Since RR used Saito, Hawkins, and Narveson last night, I'm not exactly sure how he'd feel about going with them again tonight, especially with another game tomorrow. Thus, if needed, there will probably be a decent spot to bring in Loe before the 8th.

I knew Roenicke would sit Hart. Can't say I'm too upset with it. Don't lose much with Kotsay in RF, and he looked good at the plate yesterday. Glad Morgan's out in CF tonight though.
How Kotsay looked yesterday has NO bearing on what to expect today. Kotsay and Hart aren't even close offensively. I will assume Hart is too sick to play as to not hurt my head anymore.

Baseball fans are always sort sighted with regard to estimating player performances but I gotta say, you guys are really stepping it up for the playoffs.
So the fact that Hart is like 0 for his last 12 and has looked pretty bad doing it should have no bearing on if he should play in the game? Obviously long run Hart is better than Kotsay; but we don't have the benefit of letting Hart work out of his struggles anymore. If he is sick at all that is even more reason to give someone a shot. I get it since Hart is a better player than Kotsay we should just let Hart go 0-20 in the series and ride off in the sunset because we put the best player out there. Its not like we are talking about benching Braun or Fielder here.

This team has proven this year that for whatever reason they cannot win on the road. Until they prove otherwise, I have no confidence in them getting a big W at Busch.

They finished 39-42 on the road, including being 4-5 at Busch. I know you're not confident, but what you said is not true.

Though it's unprintable here, this character provided one of my favorite movie quotes of all time. Basically fit my description of the Summerfest celebration to a tee. If I was manager, I would have probably used it after Game 2 with Arizona and after Sunday night as well.

Uh, I disagree. Every other playoff team finished the regular season at least 5 games over .500 on the road; most were close to 10 games over.

That really means nothing. The Brewers really just needed to go at least 1-2 this series, which is perfectly reasonable to expect. They could even go 2-1 at this point. Just because they didn't finish 10 games over .500 on the road doesn't mean they can't win 1.

This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

They can win at Busch. They've done it this year. 1-2 at Busch Stadium means surviving until they can get home to Miller Park. 2-1 at Busch means coming home to clinch the pennant.

1-0 tonight to give yourselves a chance, Brewers.

I was going to do a picture of a wolf eating a squirrel, but I thought it too over the top.

And the Cardinals won barely more than half their games at home, so they should be expected to lose at least one of three there.

Would have liked to see a new #5 hitter, since Weeks isn't doing the job.

As posted before, Weeks had a crappy ALDS, but he's been pretty much Rickie Weeks in this series.

The more I think about it, this is probably the biggest game for the Brewers in a long while. Not quite MUST win, but a strong need to win. If they do, the dynamic changes. 2-2, going back to Milwaukee is much better than 3-1 heading into game 5, making it a must win. Luckily, their guy gives is a decent shot, we just need the good Wolf and awake bats! And halfway decent D.

I like how winning pretty much half your games overall and against the team you play somehow means you cannot win on the road. Also what was the Brewers road record the second half of the year. I am guessing it was pretty good

You disagree? Those numbers are fact. No one gets to disagree with facts.

Have you checked each playoff team's regular season game results to see if they played as well on the road as the Brewers did in the second half? I'm assuming you'd lend more weight to the more recent play on the road than the first half of the season. I'm willing to bet the Brewers were about as good as any contender on the road in the second half.

Anyone see Roenicke's latest comments on Kotsay last night? UNBELIEVABLE.

Again Kotsay is so bad in the field the White Sox made him a DH and let Konerko play 1B. The fact Roenicke thinks he can play RF well is just more proof he can't evaluate players.
