Cards win, and that makes me unhappy.

Can you imagine having a top 3 rotation like Scherzer, Strasburg, and Corbin?

It must be fun.

Sorry, should have got this up earlier. We will do a “Game Thread” for each round of the playoffs, so please feel free to discuss the Divisional Series matchups and games in this thread.

Cards nearly blew that game after the Braves blew it. The Cardinals have an odd roster. Other than Goldschmidt, no one is terrifying. But just about everyone can hurt you.

I think it's Soroka/ Flaherty tomorrow. That will be a good one.

Edit: Looks like the Braves are throwing Folty. Wonder if losing Game 1 changes that.

In this age of fireballers it’s hard to imagine a playoff team having to use Mark Melancon as a closer.

I'm visiting my parents this weekend and they have Dish Network. No FS1 on dish right now... can't watch the games through mlb.tv subscription.

Luckily i can watch through my xfinity app, but overall dish network annoys me even though i'm not a customer!

The Rays probably kicked away their slim chance of coming back against Verlander with an Alphonse-Gaston routine on a simple pop up.

Teams I’m rooting for in playoff games are 0-4 so far and going on 0-5.

I'll write the Astros and Dodgers in to advance at this point.

Cardinals have not sold out any of their postseason games yet. Not even their Sunday game and first postseason game in years.

A little surprised.

Huge pinch hit HR from Adam Duvall. If I were a Braves fan I wouldn’t be too comfortable trusting Melancon in the ninth with a 1 run lead.

Looks like Max Fried is going to be a key bullpen piece for the Braves.

One minute: we’re in an unprecedented time for balls jumping off bats.
Next minute: Lenny Dykstra has the 4th highest slugging percentage in the history of postseason baseball.

I can't ever remember a trade that seemed as dumb at the time, but then seemed even dumber within a year. I do actually feel bad for Pirates fans for that one.

In retrospect, it may have been worth it to get swept in that 5-game series in Pittsburgh in return for that franchise self-destructing and being basement dwellers for at least the next 5 years.

That trade is a prime example of why you don't go all-in on a team that has a CHANCE at making a run to make the playoffs. They'd have left themselves much, much better off as a franchise making 2019 Brewers-esque deadline moves.

Really hoping the Twins bounce back today. We are getting into death and taxes territory with these Twins-Yanks series.

I don’t think this is going to be the year for the Twins to win a playoff series. Maybe not a game.

This game is starting after 9 in Tampa. MLB can't help but shoot themselves in the dick.

Cards' fans wear jorts.
