Im going to go ahead and let this be my Susan B Anthony...

Mark Prior is GREAT!!!!

16 strikeouts...he looks like he could go 5 more strong innings.

I know Milwaukee has been notorious for wiffing, but Prior made it look easy today.

He IS the best young arm in baseball and he'll be a joy to watch for many years. I wish him good health, regardless of whether the Cubs are our rivals. Hes a good kid, and a joy to watch.

He has struck out the side the last two innings. Does he go back out for the 9th having thrown 127 pitches? 19 Ks still a possibility. Is Wellemeyer available today?

Edit: nope, and hope so

Is Prior just throwing that good? Brewers just hacking? Big strikezone?

Prior is rediculus. I hope the Cubs watch his pitch counts better though so they don't blow out his arm like they usually do.

Oh wait...I'm a Brewers fan. Its hard to root for an injury so all I will say if he blows out his arm is I told you so. He has a smooth dilivery so we will see.

Way to battle all day by the Crew, striking out 16 times and never giving up! Kudos to Scotty and Ginter again for getting on bag!

If I had to choose between Jenkins and Sexson in crunch time, I'd choose Jenkins.

Man, these Brewer/Cub series are always fun!

...with the post on watching Prior's pitch count. HAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Hope Dusty enjoys his supper tonight.

I know the pitch count thing is important, but they're in a pennant race and I think you gotta ride your horse in a one run game. Unless they have Gagne or Smoltz, that's a bad decision.

Considering that I most certainly won't always be employed in such a way that I'll be able to listen to entire Brewer games via the net as I did today, I just want to relish this day.

I'd like to thank Ned for sending Osik, Cruz, and Kieschnick up in the 8th to K and push Prior's pitch count up.

Didn't everyone know Scotty was going to lead off the ninth with a base hit? 3-for-4, hello legitimate Rookie of the Year candidate.

Franklin, Viz, Estrella, DeJean -- woo-hoo!

Brewers leave one man on base all game...

Savor these, boys and girls...they're what makes being a day-to-day fan worth it....

Yee-haa!!

What a great afternoon. Got to see the best young arm in the game put in a dominating performance and STILL see my Brewers win.

At this point, if Geoff Jenkins isn't an All-Star, he's getting robbed. His numbers are all around better than Sexson's. He's the most important player in our lineup.

TRADE JENKS NOW.

He's on a hot streak, and I don't know if his trade value can get much higher.

There's been enough games like this to make me believe it is "all coming together." And by the way, try to make an argument why Jenkins should not be in the All Star game. Good outing by Franklin, Ginter shows some pop again, Pods is on the bases like he owns them, and Jenks is an RBI machine.
