It's an honor and a privelege to start a game thread. God Bless the United States of America and the Brewers!

What's up with a night game on a getaway day followed by an afternoon game tomorrow? I have a feeling they'll come out a little flat tomorrow.

Brewers lead 3-2 going into the 9th... and will lose 4-3...

Jenkins will hit two more bombs...

Kinney 8 IP 4H 2R 2ER 1BB 5K

OR... Yost will go with his "new" closer...

In-game chat tonight as we lament Jeff Bagwell's pop-up 3-run HR...

Come on in!

Someone tell that idiot Bill Schroeder that Ford didn't make his first start vs. Sammy Sosa and the Cubs. He made his first start vs. the Twins on Sunday. He has said this about 10 times and I would think someone would correct the idiot.

Peavey, the Astros can start the game at 11PM if they wish. They are under no obligation to play a day game.

The Brewers decided to play the odd 4PM game tomorrow to allow folks to attend a fireworks show after the game. They also are starting at 6:30 Saturday to ensure darkness for their fireworks show.

Seems to me the Brewers would rank very high in the number of weekday afternoon games. A lot of teams don't do it very much. I know the Cubs play a lot of times over the years (as they are this weekend) on the road at night, have to fly back and play an afternoon game on Friday at home.
