Got a lead late. It is definitely time for Claudio to come in to start the inning against a RHB.

+1. Puke.

I guess we should be thankful Claudio only walked him.

"You're not going to have him when you want him and you're going to run out of games. He can't pitch 90 games. It's just not going to work. If anyone thinks it's going to work, show me how."- Craig Counsell on Josh Hader.

A power right to boot.....why?

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd, he walked him. I guess better than giving up a run on one swing. So maybe a win?

Holding them to a modest, uh.... .931 OPS.

Part of me thinks...I don't want to batter the bullpen too badly as they face the Cubs next. But.....we need to win. Also Reds have a day off tomorrow so they should be fine.

They have a deep, strong bullpen. Second in all of baseball strong. Not gonna be easy to score off of.

bullpen putting up all zeroes on us...

See it wasn’t easy but we did it!

Only watching on gamecast. They pinch hit for Guerra, right? So it isn't the best, but there are two lefties up after Suarez - so understandable. Not sure what you want Counsell to do on that one.

I guess we're just going to allow hit batters to take a base when they don't try to get out of the way.

At least he didn't lean into it.

Batters don't have to try to get out of the way. As long as they don't lean into the pitch they can do whatever they want and there's no possible way Dietrich could lean into a pitch that was almost behind him.

This whole "we'll just let Claudio face this one righty because we have lefties coming up after him" mindset has seemed to backfire on us more often than not.

Jeffress pitches better the more he pitches. Not sharp today.
