Only a couple of hours to go!

"Milwaukee Braves left-hander Doug Davis looks to win his first start in more than a month as he faces the New York Mets in the deciding game of their series at Shea Stadium.

Davis will be making his eighth attempt at his 10th win of the season on Thursday, as the southpaw is 0-1 in his last seven starts, despite allowing three earned runs or less in six of those outings."

8th attempt??

Doug Davis
9-7, 4.01

Last start:
7/29 vs SFO
6.2 IP, 2 ER
Dec = ND

Kris Benson
7-4, 3.40

Last start:
7/29 at HOU
5.1 IP, 5 ER
Dec = Loss

For the gamblers out there . . .

Today's Line
NEW YORK -140 MILWAUKEE
O/U is at 8

GO CREW

Another little tidbit . . .

"After hitting .379 in July, OF Geoff Jenkins' .283 batting average on the season is his highest since Sept. 2001"

With all due respect to the horse....

is there anything better than when Jenkins connects on a shot to right field? It was easy to hate him for hitting .230.. but it's so easy to love what he has been doing lately..

Umm... did I read this wrong or something? He had a .296 batting average in 2003....

Jenkins hit .296 on the season in 2003, so I find this hard to believe.

I'm not really sure what Stacy looks like, let's take bets on whether or not she is as good looking as Anna.

Today is that day that Brady Clark starts running the bases like he doesn't have cement boots on.

Can we qualify this with "and not to run into outs at third base on ground balls to the left side".
