Hopefully Grieve has a huge series since the Angles are one of the teams that could actually really use an OF/DH type.

BrewCrewinMN, re-read niki's post. He calls Detroit a team WITHOUT a HOFer. Although, Big Ben could make a convincing case if he keeps up his current level of play for 5 more years. Might not even require that much. You can get into the HOF on defense and rebounding. Remember Bill Russell? Everyone else does.

I digress. Here's hoping the Brewers' Big Ben steals one from one of the AL's best.

Angels have impressed me.Lot's of injuries,Colon/Percival struggling badly, and yet they are still in first place.I've seen them play a few times, very enjoyable team to watch play.

Bill Hall has to be somewhat discouraged after they called up a guy from AAA to be the DH while Hall rides the pine some more.

9th is a good spot for counsell in this lineup. he can get on, and then hopefully pods can move him on a walk or a basehit. although with this lineup, nothing is guaranteed.

I see the Angels finding a lot of holes, as we appear to be leaving quite a gap on the left side of the IF.

;)

JUST IN: Ned has decided to change from the three-man right side of the IF look to a more conventional set-up, moving Counsell back to SS.

:lol

Mondesi is not a centerfielder. Why don't they have him DH and let DaVanon play in center?

It probably won't matter, as we aren't real good at hitting balls out of the infield, but you never know. Hopefully the range-challenged Angels' outfield will let some gappers through.

What's up with Spivey batting second? I thought Nedley told me he strikes out too much to hit there. ;)

Baseless prediction of the day.....

Liefer goes yard twice and the crew wins. Sheets goes 7 gives up 2 runs and fans 10.

Time to turn things around boys!!!! Lets start the Mark Rogers era 1-0!

Geoff Jenkins almost killed someone in the stands and then he almost killed Podsednik with his bat.

Not a promising start.

Burglefickle.

Nice 1-2-3 answer from Sheets. Now, how about some offense?

I have loved his approach since he has come up. He has really done a good job to mix up the RF situation even more. But it is a small sample

Nice AB from Ginter before the K... hopefully the Crew can force Escobar's pitch count to climb early. C'mon, Grieve.

EDIT: Argh. Two Ks in a row = not good.

EDIT: Argh again. Why must they tease us like this?
