Does anyone know Moeller's stats with 2 outs and RISP ? I'll bet he is approaching Royce Clayton territory.

Ben Grieve is gonna make his staunch supporters eat their words. Get me a guy who can put the damn ball in play. Wow-wee he has a nice obp, but when you need the guy to drive a pitch or make a tough catch he's a major liability.

How bad has it gotten when with men on 2nd and 3rd with no out we ASSUME that they WONT score?!?

This offense has reached ludicrous levels of sucktitude.

Am I the only person with a secret desire to see Mondesi get a heater in the ear hole?

I just posted them a couple game threads ago, but can't find the post off-hand. He's actually hit better in "clutch" situations than he has overall.

His current OPS with 2 outs and RISP is actually 1.007. So no, he's not in Royce Clayton territory.

I'm in love with Jose Guillen. I just can't help it. Wow.

Nice hit by Spivey, nonetheless. How 'bout a 2-out knock, Jenks?

EDIT: ***? Hi, Junior Spivey, this is the game calling... we've been trying to get your attention, but apparently you're otherwise occupied. ARGH.

Spivey was asleep that whole sequence. Didn't bust ass out of the box, then gets picked off. He must be devastated.

Looks like you and I are the only ones with the stomach for this game Bill.

I honestly don't recall seeing Moeller getting any 2 out hits with RISP this whole season. Maybe those hits were in meaningless situations where the outcome of the game was already decided. Otherwise I would remember them more.

Just because we don't post after every single pitch doesn't mean we've given up on them.

I don't have time to peruse the game logs (I might if you were hating on Ginter, but not Moeller ;) ), but he's also hit better than normal in "Close and Late" situations (OPS of .730). It's just a product of luck, but I don't care... anything that gets him in the lineup more in place of Gary Bennett is a-okay with me.

And RoCo, I have quite an ample midsection... otherwise, I might not last much longer watching this team "hit" ;) .

Maybe Nedley should pull a page out of the Lopester playbook and drop Geoff in the batting order to say #8. That 0.740 OPS is just killing us in the #3 hole.

JosephC said:
Stearns probably had no interest in getting a C because the Brewers need a C. It makes much more sense to trade for 3B when it's not needed, and then move the other 3B to 2B, then trade for a 2B, but since the 3B is now at 2B, then the new 2B goes to SS

Bill, I think "hit" in this case is a relative term, wouldn't you agree?

I remember when I had to explain to my young son that a "HIT" was not recorded every time a batter put a ball in play, rather a hit was only when said struck ball resulted in the batter safely reaching base. Maybe we can petition for them to change that rule for the Brewers.

Harsh, dude. We're on the same side... ya' know, the one that can't hit?

I don't know about anyone else, but I post here so I can vent my anger. Without brewerfan, what would I do? Kick my dog?
