I meant to post this a few days ago and now he had a big day today so ill look like a idiot. But up to this point it seems he strikes out way to much is way out in front tries to hook everything. Now ever a blind squirrel finds a nut an dim not saying that Spivey isnt gonna pan out or that he will stop hitting from now on. But ever since spivey got here its not like he was hitting 300 and on pace for 25 homers mb he was but i dont remember it. I remember his decline in Arizona his last year and a half. Be it from injury or not. To me it looks like the same situation as we had with Hammonds i reallly never seen him produce in Mil and didnt expet him ias i knew the numbers were inflated from Coors. Then when injured that was the whole excuse for his tenure in milwaukee he never had a chance was what is said. I dont know but if Spivey continues to flail at the plate reguardless of todays performance, that you cant blame injury for lack of production. My main point is that lack of productions shouldnt always be blamed on injury. You see this all the time in basketball if a guy is supposedly 100 prct and has a bad game the people say its cuz hes still injured but dont mention the injury unless he has a bad game.

Hahahahahahahahahaha what a mess ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ i hope you get the jist of this Jenks will be next as he continues to flail like last year and try to hit homeruns and pull every dam pitch(OK HIT POST YOU MAKING YOURSELF LOOK STUPID) well hopefull kajpgoiadigmspodifgmposimdthpoisjd......ok enough i wrote to much to delete this is a months work for me hahaha

It being 1:30AM and the numerous grammatical errors, I wonder if this poster has been up all night celebrating the Brewers victory. I can't really figure out any other reason to question Spivey's impact on the Brewers. Many will point to last year's collapse of the Brewers in the second half and say, "This is the best evidence of what happens when a team loses a player of Spivey's ilk." But I would look to another team and say the same thing. Of all the players the Brewers received in the Sexson deal, no one was more highly praised than Spivey. Overbay had only one season of sub-.290 batting, Capuano and DeLaRosa were both unproven commodities, Moeller's worth was limited to secondary back-stop, and Counsell...well I don't think anyone would argue he was the cornerstone of that trade. The player missed most by the Diamondbacks, excluding Sexson, was their former All-Star, Mr. Spivey. Now I know there are MANY factors that contributed to the Diamondbacks demise last season, not the least of which was the other unrewarding trade they made last off-season (Schilling) but you can't discount the absence of a Spivey in your lineup. He isn't a supserstar, or even really an All-Star caliber player (though it is debateable), but he is above-average offensively and he plays pretty good defense. Don't discount the value.

Spivey either came here with a known injury or they cam e here with high hopes he was traded hitting 255 with 13 homers man thats not something you look highly oh wee gotta get him look at this mb potential is what they seen but dont tell me that the brewers definatly woulda won more in 2nd half imjust saying i think spivey is overated until he puts 2 good seasons together. IE podsednik one and done sorry.

Looking past the grammer, spelling, lack of punctuation, repetitiveness -- oh heck, I can't look past it all:

Quote:
OK HIT POST YOU MAKING YOURSELF LOOK STUPID

Who are you typing this for? Rather than write that, just DO it. At least you recognized what was happening....Or perhaps the little voices in your head were having an argument about how to phrase your thoughts? ("type an E!" "NO, type an h, skip the e!"

Anyways, back to baseball:
Quote:
imjust saying i think spivey is overated until he puts 2 good seasons together

I disagree, mainly because I don't think he is all that highly rated. If anything, he seems to be overlooked by most people, IMO. The only time his worth is brought up is when last year's collapse is talked about and a reason for it needs to be found, and most everyone talks about his need to stay healthy, so it is not like that is getting overlooked. I'll go out on a limb and bet you will be eating your words by the end of the year. Of course, they way they are written, you'll likely get a bit of indigestion...

Our grammar challenged friend leads me to ask:

What happened to Nick Neugebauer anyway? Could this person actually be Nick Neugebauer?

No, he used to post on ESPN (and possibly here?) during his Minor League days. That's not Nick.
